I am a nationally Certified Medical Interpreter, a Behavioral Health Interpreter Trainer (Clinical and Education), a Qualified Court Interpreter, and Translator with a Professional Certificate in Translation from NYU, a Bachelors of Science degree in Legal Studies and Military Training.
While living across the United States, and in several countries abroad, I developed a deep passion for learning about and working with all types of people from different backgrounds. I draw my knowledge of cultures from my experiences and studies in international relations, and my industry specific knowledge from working on a pediatric, surgical and oncology floor in Honolulu and later volunteering at a District Court House in Kentucky. In the course of my work, I am influenced by the principles of impartiality, and the importance of every individual's self-determination which have been reinforced my industry specific training, and ethical training in mediation.
I am a member of the American Translator's Association and the National Council in Healthcare Interpreting. Insured.
